As spiritual energy resurges across the globe, ancient demons and monsters reappear to wreak havoc on the human world. By chance, the young man Wei Yuan obtains a tiger‑inscribed waist token dating back to Emperor Wu of Han and becomes the last Sili Xiaowei, an imperial inspector charged with hunting abominations. He lives inside a small, neglected folklore museum in Jiangnan, whose exhibits secretly seal countless demons and spirits. Each artifact is tied to a hidden episode of history, and with an eight‑edged Han sword in hand, Wei Yuan cuts down all manner of ghosts and fiends as he’s drawn into strange cases spanning ancient and modern times.
